Bittsi vs Provet Cloud
Provet publishes real per-veterinarian prices, as Bittsi does, so this comparison can be about what each price buys: how much of the clinic runs inside the system, how long the term is, how fast you are live, and what the AI actually does with the record. Checked on Provet's own pages and its parent's filings.
Facts checked on the vendors' own pages, September 3, 2026 · written by the Bittsi team · sources at the end
- You run a group of dozens of clinics and want a referral portal, a triage board and a vendor that has moved 350 sites in eight weeks.
- You want a listed company behind the software, with a contractual SLA and ISO 27001 on the Enterprise plan.
- You already run Laboklin or Zoetis point-of-care and want them in the record on day one.
- You want the whole clinic in one system with nothing to integrate: hospital floor, anesthesia, dental, inventory, payments, messaging, the pet-owner app and reporting, priced on one page.
- You want month to month rather than a term with three months' notice, and live in 14 days rather than 8 to 12 weeks.
- You want the AI to read the whole chart: an overnight brief for every appointment, medication safety checks, close-out reconciliation; Scribe writes the note and the invoice.
One system. Nothing to integrate.
Everything below is built into Bittsi and priced on one page. Enter it once and it is everywhere it needs to be: the charge posts and inventory moves the moment a treatment is logged. The only integrations are the ones only a lab or a card network can provide: IDEXX, Antech and Bittsi Pay.
Records and charting
Structured SOAP with templates and dictation; vitals and weight trends; vaccines and certificates; prescriptions, refills and labels; consent forms; the invoice drafts itself from the note.
Also: How the visit flows →Hospital floor
A status board with TV mode and shift handoff; live treatment sheets with due times, owners, protocols and fluid alerts; Crash Card dosing by weight with a CPR recorder.
Anesthesia and dental
Vitals charted every five minutes from the monitor with the drug timeline beside them; Triadan dental charts that bill the procedures when completed.
Also: Dental chart →Inventory and purchasing
Batch-level tracking with automatic FIFO, recall trace in about 30 seconds, purchase orders grouped by supplier, cycle counts and COGS per line.
Money
Estimates that convert in one click, Bittsi Pay inside the invoice, next-business-day funding reconciled to invoices, QuickBooks and Xero export.
Clients
Two-way SMS, MMS and email in one thread per patient, reminder cadences that stop on confirmation, and the clinic-branded Companion app.
Also: Companion app →Reporting
Financial, appointment and inventory dashboards that refresh as charges post; shareable links, scheduled PDFs and exports.
AI in the record
Scribe writes the note and the draft invoice from the conversation; Sage briefs every appointment, flags interactions and lab trends, and reconciles close-out.
Also: Sage →Side by side, from the published record

| Training | Role-based sessions during the fourteen days, recorded for later hires | Free Provet Academy on every plan[4] |

| AI | Sage reads the whole chart: an overnight brief for every appointment, lab trends across panels, medication safety checks, close-out reconciliation of what was documented against what was billed, answers with citations. Scribe writes the SOAP note and the draft invoice from the exam-room conversation. Nothing is sent, billed, prescribed or signed without a clinician | Provet Intelligence: AI Scribe, AI Discharge Notes, AI Patient Histories launched in Q4 2025; Clinical Agent, Ask Provet and Provet MCP[5][3] |
| Owner self-service | Pet owners confirm in one tap, reschedule in three and cancel with a reason that lands in the scheduler, in the clinic-branded Companion app; the after-visit summary is pushed within a minute of the note being signed | New booking portal launched Q4 2025: 546 clinics live, 7,188 bookings by December[5] |

What Provet Cloud does well
- Per-veterinarian prices, platform fees, plan contents and the AI add-on price on the pricing page.
- Support staff are free; only veterinarians are charged.
- A clear, written exit: 60 days after termination to retrieve your data, in the terms of service.
- Filing-grade disclosure from a listed parent: cloud churn of 1.3 percent, cloud ARR growth of 26.6 percent, more than €50 million of revenue, 13,500 veterinarians on Provet.
- Published 99.99 percent uptime and ISO 27001:2022 certification.
- Proven at scale: CVS Group migrated 350 clinics onto Provet in eight weeks, and most practices go live in 8 to 12 weeks.
- A fast-moving AI line, Provet Intelligence, with a scribe, discharge notes, patient histories, a clinical agent and an MCP interface.
What a switch actually looks like
The same plan for every clinic that moves to Bittsi, with a date and an owner on each step. It is written into the Switch Guarantee.
- 01Before you sign: one fixed quote and a sandboxWe size the migration from your current system and load a sandbox with your own records. You click around your real patients, not a demo clinic.
- 02Days 1 to 3: exportYour data comes out of the old system while it keeps running. Nothing changes for the front desk.
- 03Days 3 to 8: mapping and importClients, patients, visit history, prescriptions, reminders and balances, mapped field by field. Anything that cannot be mapped cleanly is archived read-only and labelled.
- 04Days 8 to 10: verificationEvery record checked against the source, row by row. You get the report.
- 05Days 10 to 13: training by roleShort sessions for the front desk, technicians and doctors on the parts they touch, not an all-day shutdown.
- 06Day 14: go-liveOn a lighter day, with your launch lead on call. The old system stays readable for reference until you retire it.
Questions clinics ask about Provet Cloud and Bittsi
Which is cheaper, Provet or Bittsi?
For one veterinarian, Bittsi Foundation is $249 a month all in; Provet Core is a $249 platform fee that includes one veterinarian, so the same. For two veterinarians Bittsi Foundation is $348 and Provet Core is $348; Bittsi Standard is $508, or $378 with Bittsi Pay, against Provet Pro at $428. The prices are close; what differs is what each buys. On Bittsi Standard the treatment sheet, anesthesia sheet, dental chart and analytics are included, payments and the pet-owner app are built in, and there is no term.
Provet says no annual contracts. Is that right?
Its home page says there are no annual contracts and you are not locked in. Its terms of service describe an Initial Term and Renewal Terms that end on at least three months' notice, and do not state how long the initial term is. Both are on Provet's own site; ask which applies to your order form. Bittsi is month to month, and annual billing is optional for the 10 percent saving.
How do the exits compare?
Provet's is one of the best written we found: 60 days after termination to retrieve your data. Bittsi exports your data free, in standard formats, at any time, including while you are a customer. Neither vendor makes you ask twice.
Provet takes 8 to 12 weeks to implement. Why is Bittsi 14 days?
Provet's figure covers practices of every size, including groups. Bittsi's plan is dated and written into the agreement: export in the first two days, mapping and transfer through day eight, row-by-row verification through day twelve, role-based training in short sessions, go-live on day fourteen with the lead on call through week one.
How does the AI compare?
Provet Intelligence shipped a scribe, discharge notes and patient histories in late 2025 and sells a Clinical Agent at $40 a seat. Bittsi has Scribe, Sage, which reads the whole chart, and Anesthesia AI at $89, $99 or $159 a seat for the suite. Ask both for a live session on your own patient, not a demo case.
How hard is it to move from Provet to Bittsi?
Straightforward, and Provet's 60-day retrieval window helps. One fixed migration quote before you sign, a sandbox with your own data, records verified row by row, and go-live in about 14 days with role-based training.
