Can we bring our existing patient and clinical data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We migrate from AVImark, Cornerstone, ezyVet, Provet, eVetPractice and most legacy systems. Migration is free with Bittsi Pay, our payment processing. Without it, you get one fixed quote before you sign, based on your current system and the size of your records. A named migration lead moves your clients, patients, visit history, prescriptions, and balances, and verifies them row by row before you go live.

How long does onboarding take, and how disruptive is it?

Most single-location practices are live in about two weeks from the signed agreement. You keep seeing patients throughout: your migration lead does the data work in the background, and training is short, role-based sessions rather than an all-day shutdown.

Can I try it with my own data first?

Yes. We load a sandbox with your data before you commit.

Do you integrate with our current lab and reference software?

Accepted Answer

Yes. IDEXX (reference lab, in-house analyzers and imaging) and Antech (reference lab and in-clinic) are built in both directions: order from the record, and results land on the visit with their charges on the invoice. Bittsi Pay and client reminders are built in too. Running Zoetis or another lab? Tell us on your demo; our integration roadmap is built from clinic requests. Where can I see your prices?

All of them are on the pricing page. Each plan includes one veterinarian, extra veterinarians and AI seats are priced per seat, and technicians, assistants, receptionists and managers are always free.

What counts as a veterinarian seat?

Accepted Answer

A licensed veterinarian or locum who charts under their own name. Technicians, assistants, receptionists, and managers are staff users and are always free.

How do AI seats work?

Accepted Answer

An AI seat is separate from a veterinarian seat. Pick Bittsi Scribe, Sage, or the AI Suite for the clinic, buy as many seats as you need, and assign each one to anyone on the team: a veterinarian, a technician, or the front desk. You can reassign seats as your team changes.

Is there a contract?

No. Plans are month-to-month. Annual billing saves 10% and can be cancelled at renewal.

Question 9

We own several clinics, or run an emergency or specialty hospital. Is the price the same?

Accepted Answer

No. Groups with more than one location, emergency and specialty hospitals, and practices with ten or more veterinarians get a custom quote: one agreement across your locations, a migration plan for each site, and a named lead for the rollout. What is Sage, and is it included?

Sage is Bittsi's AI clinical assistant: chart summaries, lab insights, medication safety, and toxicology guidance, all built into the PIMS. It works on every plan and is priced per seat, so you only pay for the people who use it.

Question 11

Will Sage ever prescribe or sign on my behalf?

Accepted Answer

No. Sage is human-in-the-loop by design. It surfaces summaries, flags safety concerns, and proposes next steps, but every clinical action requires a clinician to approve. There are no autonomous prescriptions, sign-offs, or outbound messages.

Does Sage replace AI Scribe?

Accepted Answer

No, they complement each other. AI Scribe captures the visit and turns it into a SOAP note. Sage reads every SOAP (and lab and Rx) afterwards to summarize, compare, and flag what needs attention. Many clinics use both.

Can I review or edit notes before they're saved?

Accepted Answer

Always. Every SOAP note is a draft until you sign it. Edit any section inline, add structured fields, or re-record a segment if needed. Nothing leaves your hands without your sign-off.

Is patient data secure?

Records are encrypted in transit and at rest, and each clinic's data is isolated at the database level. Sage reads only what the signed-in user is allowed to see, never acts without a person's approval, and keeps every conversation in an audit log. Scribe audio is deleted after 3 days.

Is pet parent data kept separate from practice data?

Yes. Pet owners see only what you explicitly share with them. Staff notes, internal tags, and financials stay inside the practice. Granular permissions by role are on every plan.

What if we want to leave — can we get our data out?

Accepted Answer

It's your data, always. There's no long lock-in contract, and we export your complete records in standard formats whenever you ask. We'd rather earn the next month than trap you in it.

What does Bittsi run on?

Any modern browser — desktop, tablet or phone. It's cloud-based, so there's no server to maintain and no software to install; the treatment sheet works on the kennel iPad and the reports work on your laptop at home. No extra hardware required.
