Bittsi vs Digitail

Digitail and Bittsi make the same claim, AI-native and cloud-based, which is exactly why the comparison should rest on what is written down: what runs inside the system, the price, the term, the migration and the exit clause. Checked on Digitail's own pages and terms.

Choose Digitail if
  • You want the longest list of AI product names on the market today and a venture-backed roadmap to add more.
  • You want Okta single sign-on and enterprise identity in the plan.
  • You run a large group and would rather negotiate an Enterprise tier than pay a published price.
Choose Bittsi if
  • You want the hospital floor and the surgery suite in the same system as the front desk: live treatment sheets, anesthesia charted from the monitor, Triadan dental that bills itself, inventory with recall trace.
  • You want the price published, from $249 a month, month to month, and an exit in writing; Digitail's plans page shows tiers without amounts and its terms describe no export.
  • You want AI that is accountable to the record: Sage cites its sources, reconciles close-out and cannot send, bill, prescribe or sign; Scribe writes the note and the draft invoice.
What Bittsi is

One system. Nothing to integrate.

Everything below is built into Bittsi and priced on one page. Enter it once and it is everywhere it needs to be: the charge posts and inventory moves the moment a treatment is logged. The only integrations are the ones only a lab or a card network can provide: IDEXX, Antech and Bittsi Pay.

See what each plan includes

Records and charting

Structured SOAP with templates and dictation; vitals and weight trends; vaccines and certificates; prescriptions, refills and labels; consent forms; the invoice drafts itself from the note.

Also: How the visit flows

Hospital floor

A status board with TV mode and shift handoff; live treatment sheets with due times, owners, protocols and fluid alerts; Crash Card dosing by weight with a CPR recorder.

Anesthesia and dental

Vitals charted every five minutes from the monitor with the drug timeline beside them; Triadan dental charts that bill the procedures when completed.

Also: Dental chart

Inventory and purchasing

Batch-level tracking with automatic FIFO, recall trace in about 30 seconds, purchase orders grouped by supplier, cycle counts and COGS per line.

Money

Estimates that convert in one click, Bittsi Pay inside the invoice, next-business-day funding reconciled to invoices, QuickBooks and Xero export.

Clients

Two-way SMS, MMS and email in one thread per patient, reminder cadences that stop on confirmation, and the clinic-branded Companion app.

Also: Companion app

Reporting

Financial, appointment and inventory dashboards that refresh as charges post; shareable links, scheduled PDFs and exports.

AI in the record

Scribe writes the note and the draft invoice from the conversation; Sage briefs every appointment, flags interactions and lab trends, and reconciles close-out.

Also: Sage

What Digitail does well

  • Names AVImark and Cornerstone as supported migrations, with an in-house migration team, a testing environment for validation, and an onboarding expert with veterinary experience on launch day.
  • 24/7 support, 1:1 onboarding, open API and integrations included in every plan rather than sold as upgrades.
  • A broad AI surface: AI SOAP dictation, AI concierge, AI patient intake, AI record summaries, an AI practice-manager agent and an AI medical agent.
  • A wide partner list, from IDEXX VetLab Station and Web PACS to CUBEX, Vetsource and Okta.
  • Well funded and growing: a $23 million Series B in November 2025, more than $37 million raised, 10,000 veterinarians, and a customer base that doubled in twelve months.

What a switch actually looks like

The same plan for every clinic that moves to Bittsi, with a date and an owner on each step. It is written into the Switch Guarantee.

  1. 01Before you sign: one fixed quote and a sandboxWe size the migration from your current system and load a sandbox with your own records. You click around your real patients, not a demo clinic.
  2. 02Days 1 to 3: exportYour data comes out of the old system while it keeps running. Nothing changes for the front desk.
  3. 03Days 3 to 8: mapping and importClients, patients, visit history, prescriptions, reminders and balances, mapped field by field. Anything that cannot be mapped cleanly is archived read-only and labelled.
  4. 04Days 8 to 10: verificationEvery record checked against the source, row by row. You get the report.
  5. 05Days 10 to 13: training by roleShort sessions for the front desk, technicians and doctors on the parts they touch, not an all-day shutdown.
  6. 06Day 14: go-liveOn a lighter day, with your launch lead on call. The old system stays readable for reference until you retire it.

Questions clinics ask about Digitail and Bittsi

What does Digitail cost?

Digitail's plans page lists four tiers with their features and no amounts; Enterprise says talk to sales. Third-party listings show a vendor-supplied figure, but we do not treat those as published prices. Bittsi publishes its own: from $249 a month on Foundation with one veterinarian included and unlimited staff; Standard $379, or $249 with Bittsi Pay.

Both say AI-native. What is the difference?

Digitail's surface is wider: dictation, concierge, intake, summaries and two agents. Bittsi's is deeper on the record: Scribe for documentation, Sage as a clinical assistant that reads the whole chart, and Anesthesia AI, each priced per seat on the page. Ask both for a live session on your own patient and judge the output, not the list.

What do Digitail's terms say about leaving?

The published terms and conditions confirm you own your contributions, allow cancellation by email, allow Digitail to change prices at any time and to terminate at its discretion, and say nothing about exporting your data at termination. That is a gap to close in writing before you sign, not evidence of bad practice. Bittsi's exit is free export in standard formats, any time.

Digitail migrates from AVImark and Cornerstone. Does Bittsi?

Yes. AVImark, Cornerstone, ezyVet, Provet and eVetPractice are the systems we quote most often, with one fixed migration quote before you sign, a sandbox loaded with your own data, row-by-row verification against the old system, and go-live in about 14 days with role-based training.

Which is better for a new clinic?

Both are built for one. Bittsi's New Practice Program bills nothing until your opening day and then Standard at $249 for the first year; ask Digitail what its start-up terms are, because its plans page does not say.

How hard is it to move from Digitail to Bittsi?

Ask Digitail for a full export first, since the published terms do not describe one. From there it is the usual fourteen days: one fixed quote, a sandbox with your data, verification row by row, and role-based training.
