eVetPractice became Covetrus Pulse, a cloud system with real, shipped AI. This page is about what Covetrus publishes on price and terms, which is little, on getting your data out, which is less, and what a move to Bittsi looks like day by day.

Everything below is built into Bittsi and priced on one page. Enter it once and it is everywhere it needs to be: the charge posts and inventory moves the moment a treatment is logged. The only integrations are the ones only a lab or a card network can provide: IDEXX, Antech and Bittsi Pay.

Not our opinion of the product. What its owner publishes, with the source next to each point.
Who owns it
Covetrus, taken private by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice and TPG in October 2022 at $21 a share, about $4 billion of enterprise value. Separately, a merger with MWI Animal Health was announced in February 2026; it awaits regulatory approval and is not expected to close in Cencora's fiscal 2026. Product roadmaps in a company mid-merger are worth asking about directly.[1][2][3]
What eVetPractice became
Covetrus's own page says "eVetPractice veterinary practice solutions has evolved to Covetrus Pulse", and the old help centre now redirects to the Covetrus Pulse Help Center. That is a rename, not a sunset: Pulse is actively developed, with August 2026 release notes in the help centre.[4][5]
What is published about price and exit
No current price on any page we could reach; the Pulse subscription agreement and terms of service sit behind a bot wall. The last published figures are Covetrus's own 2021 self-report to Today's Veterinary Business: $250, $375 or $525 a month per location, and a migration fee of $1,800 to $2,400, or no cost with a three-year contract, over 6 to 8 weeks. The magazine notes the information "was provided by the companies and has not been independently verified". On the way out, the help centre documents no full export: reports go to Excel, then Save As CSV, and API access is requested by email, usually by the integration partner.[6][7][8][9]

- Real, shipped AI announced at no additional cost in January 2025: ambient listening with auto-generated SOAP notes and pre-appointment summaries.
- A deep first-party lab bench: Antech, IDEXX, Greywind and Zoetis reference labs, plus in-house IDEXX, Heska, Abaxis and Zoetis analyzers.
- A true cloud product on Microsoft Azure, with data synced to a second database across the continent.
- A documented migration in: sixteen source systems, a trial conversion on day 21 for you to audit, go-live on day 63.
- Published support hours including Saturday chat, and email answered within one business day.

Questions clinics ask about Covetrus Pulse and Bittsi
Is Covetrus Pulse the same product as eVetPractice?
Yes, renamed. Covetrus says eVetPractice "has evolved to Covetrus Pulse", the help centre moved under the Pulse name, and the product is actively developed. If you are on eVetPractice today you are on Pulse; this page applies to both.
What does Pulse cost?
Covetrus does not publish a current price, and its subscription agreement is not reachable online. The only numbers on record are its own 2021 self-report: $250, $375 or $525 a month per location, with a migration fee of $1,800 to $2,400 unless you signed a three-year contract. Ask for the current number, the term and the exit terms in writing. Bittsi publishes its price: from $249 a month on Foundation with one veterinarian included and unlimited staff; Standard $379, or $249 with Bittsi Pay.
How do I get my data out of Pulse?
Start by asking Covetrus for a full export in writing, because the help centre documents none: reports export to Excel, which you can Save As CSV, and API access is arranged by email, usually by an integration partner. Our migration lead works from whatever Covetrus provides plus the reports you can run yourself, then verifies every record row by row against Pulse before go-live.
Pulse's AI is included. Why would I pay for Scribe?
Because of what happens after the recording. Pulse's own documentation says the summary pastes into the first box of the exam form and you move it into Subjective, Objective, Assessment and Plan yourself. Bittsi Scribe writes the SOAP fields and the draft invoice from the conversation, priced per seat on the pricing page, and a seat can go to a technician or the front desk, not only a veterinarian.
How long does the move take?
About 14 days from kickoff to go-live for a typical clinic: export and mapping in the first week, verification and role-based training in the second, then a supported go-live on a lighter day. Pulse's own inbound conversion runs 63 days; ours is written into the agreement at 14.
We buy supplies from Covetrus. Does leaving the software matter?
Your supply account and your software are separate purchases. The one thing to check is whether any rebate you receive depends on the software; Covetrus's 2021 self-report mentioned rebates possible with other Covetrus services. Ask them in writing, then decide on the numbers.
